EPOS

Our extensive experience of integrating into retail led point of sale and merchandising systems provides many advantages to multi-channel organizations. The combination of centralizing all channel customer data on the MNP platform and assisting in lean stock holdings across the direct channels means that organizations can optimize cash flow and profit margins. Customer data can be transferred around the business to provide your marketers with data that can be used proactively to generate more business. Via the web, shop and call centre, you will have visibility of your customer that can help the business manage todays customer expectations to provide improved return facilities, loyalty programs and redemption routes.

There are several different ways that ORDERactive can be integrated to an EPOS (Electronic Point Of Sale) system, the most common is as an extra store on the existing EPOS system.  This normally requires that ORDERactive is told how much stock it has to sell by the EPOS system and is left to sell it in an ongoing basis.  At the end of each day a till end of day file is created in the correct EPOS format detailing all of the sales and returns that have taken place so that the EPOS system can alter the stock levels and record the financial information.

When working in that fashion it is normally the EPOS system that controls purchasing and merchandising too and so ORDERactive can become a slave totally in terms of stock control and stock management whilst still being the interface to the website for this information too.

Another way of working is to feed the sales data for each store in through ORDERactive and allow ORDERactive to calculate what the stock levels are at stores to then be in control of replenishments too.  Working this way ORDERactive can still be the master for physical stock and stock properties.
