WMSactive is an innovative warehouse management software solution designed specifically for any business that dispatches ‘direct orders’:

Mail order/E-commerce

Unlike most Warehouse Management systems which focus on distribution and logistics, WMSactive has been written exclusively to manage the high volume of small orders associated with direct order operations. This helps transform operational productivity and efficiency, reduces costs and helps deliver higher levels of customer satisfaction.

Retail led, multi-channel sales operations

Most WMS systems for the retail sector are designed to handle bulk warehousing and distribution for products that have yet to be purchased by the consumer. For multi-channel businesses these systems do not deliver the degree of precision and control required for handling individual orders. WMSactive provides the functionality to cope with complex picking strategies, back and future orders, dealingmwith returns or managing a variety of dispatch carriers and also includes a store replenishment functionality linked to an existing EPOS system.

Fulfilment

For fulfilment companies, it provides a method of configuring and efficiently handling the different stock management and warehousing requirements of each of your clients. It also provides remote, web based real time reporting so that your clients can obtain up to the minute information for managing their business.

Core WMS active Functionality

System Manager... click here for more...
Used when setting up, defining and shaping your warehouse(s), including all staff who work within it. WMS System Manager is used to define the logic and intelligence of the system allowing you to shape exactly how you wish your system to operate. As such, this application is intended to be used by your higher authority administrators.

Task Director... click here for more...

WMS Task Director has been designed to run on multiple workstations and is used directly within your warehouse(s) by all employees who contribute towards order fulfilment, location maintenance etc. You can login at either a warehouse or individual level. Logging in at warehouse level, will allow all employees to view, activate, and conduct their individual tasks, be it picking, transfers, stock take and so on. Alternatively, you can login at an individual level to show the task details for that employee.

WMS Task Director actively allocates tasks to available employees based on their access rights, permissions and proficiencies. The system tracks productivity and task allocation to ensure balanced activity amongst employees. The task’s details can be printed out or transferred to a handheld device via wireless LAN for enhanced functionality. When a task is complete, the employee can consolidate the task, and provide feedback to the system, before it is marked as completed.

Pick Confirmation... click here for more...
WMS Pick Confirmation polls for completed tasks from WMS Task Director. It can be run either on a single or multiple workstations. The employees using this application can bring together the individual items that make up orders and confirm them ready for dispatch. Before an order can be released to the dispatch queue, every item within it must be pick confirmed. Mis-picks can be declared and registered on the system, including picking of the wrong SKU and under/over picking of a SKU. All actions are referenced against the employee who picked the item. When an order has been pick confirmed it is assigned to the dispatch queue, ready for processing by WMS Operation Control.

Operation Control... click here for more...
WMS Operation Control is the central messaging hub for the system, managing all inbound and outbound communication between the system and all remote Order Management Systems. WMS Operation Control processes all of the intelligence established in WMS System Manager, including task creation and allocation and internal order processing. It is generally run on a single workstation but operates equally well on multiple workstations - especially gruelling processor demands. The WMS Operation Control windows provide ‘at a glance’ summary information for the entire system.

Distribution Coordinator... click here for more...
WMS Distribution Coordinator is responsible for handling all posting of goods that come in and go out of the warehouse(s). Functionality is incorporated for handling returns logic both at a supplier and consumer level. Staging location functionality allows manipulation and processing of warehouse stock outside of bulk and primary locations. All stock coming into the warehouse can be handled with full support for reconciliation, typing up purchase orders, processing Advanced Shipping Notices etc.

Wireless Server Element... click here for more...
WMS Wireless Server element has been designed to run as a single instance on the system server. Its job is to process communications between the system and wireless handheld devices within the warehouse, via access points. The core purpose of the handheld devices is for real time task processing, which is advantageous over paper based task processing, as it enables 'on the fly' updates to be made to tasks e.g. in the event of item cancellations, updated information, required stock counts etc
